Carla Del Ponte, geboren 1947, wurde mit ihrer Berufung zur Chefanklägerin des Uno-Kriegsverbrechertribunals in Den Haag das Gesicht der internationalen Justiz. Aufgewachsen in Bignasco, studierte sie Rechtswissenschaften, arbeitete erst als Anwältin, dann ab 1980 als Staatsanwältin und ab 1994 als Schweizer Bundesanwältin. Mit Courage verfolgte Carla Del Ponte Drogenkartelle und Waffenhändler und nahm mit dem italienischen Richter und Freund Giovanni Falcone die Mafia ins Visier. Im Sommer 1989 entging sie in Palermo nur knapp einem Sprengstoffanschlag auf ihr Leben. Für die Hörbuchserie "erlebt & erinnert" erzählt die ehemals mächtigste Strafrechtlerin der Welt von ihrem Leben unter Polizeischutz, von dramatischen Verhandlungen und ihrem unbedingten Einsatz für Gerechtigkeit. Sie spricht auch von ihrer Kindheit im Maggiatal und wie sie mit ihren drei Brüdern auf Schlangenjagd ging.
