About this listen

Son of the shaman is a shaman - but what of the daughters?

When Otto Krugg's daughter follows in his footsteps, he's faced with the task of changing a century-long rule that will force her to make decisions no one should have to make.

When Jimmy Pirano gets tasked with enforcing that rule - no matter what - he goes down the rabbit hole to try to find out who established the rule...and why they can't let it go.

Brilliant! The whole "Golden Age Of The Solar Clipper" universe could have existed outside of the Sci-fi world. What it uses the genera for is the licence to create social, economic and spiritual structures independent of the current state of the world. If you're looking for photons, lasers, mass accelerators, interstellar out growths of the marine corps and R.C. Bray (And who isn't ?) you're in for slim pickings, BUT DON'T LET THAT PUT YOU OFF! This is a universe solidly realized and populated by realistic sympthetic characters. I think the best way I can describe it is as a series of historic novels set in the future.

The Sci-fi you have when you aren't having Sci-fi.
