Suppliers are responsible for inputs to a process, and my employer is involved in both external and internal suppliers. My employer offers a store brand that is produced within a separate department and a separate location that competes with the supplier's brand. This paper overviews how a retail supply chain works and why a supply chain is necessary in retail in order to stay one step ahead of the numerous competitors.
