Publisher's Summary

Part of a small demon lair in Las Vegas, tattooist Harper Wallis lives a pretty simple life. That changes overnight when she discovers that her psychic mate, or 'anchor', is a guy who's rumoured to be the most powerful demon in existence.

Compelling, full of secrets and armed with raw sexuality, Knox Thorne is determined to claim her as his anchor, creating a psychic bond that will prevent their inner demons from ever turning rogue. The billionaire also wants Harper in his bed. She's not so sure she wants either of those things. No one seems to know what breed of demon Knox is, only that he's more dangerous than anything she's ever before encountered. But he refuses to walk away. And when an unknown danger starts closing in on Harper, it seems that Knox is the only one who can keep her safe.

As Prime of his Las Vegas lair and a successful businessman, Knox Thorne is used to being in control. He's also used to people fearing and obeying him. Harper does neither, which unexpectedly amuses him. Unpredictable, elusive and complex, she draws Knox and his inner demon like nothing ever has.

Knox is used to getting what he wants, and he wants Harper. He'll have her, and he'll keep her safe from the threat that looms over her. Because Knox protects what's his. He won't allow anyone to take her from him. Even if it will mean letting the demon inside him rise and wreak the havoc it was created to make.

Too much sex, not enough story line

It's like the author forgot there was a story line to the book. Dropping, walks around a bit then picks it up again. Adding random sex scenes didn't help.
The reader's voice is whiney in alot of places. And gets worse as the book progresses.

Enjoyable book

I enjoyed this book but not as much as her books of the Mercury and Phoenix Packs. It's a good listen but the narration is a bit off, much prefer Jill Redfield narrating this type of book.

Great book bad performance

I absolutely love Suzanne Wright's books. The female character voices done by the narrator are terrible, it put me off. Not sure I will buy the next audiobook.

Average - very average

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?

No this story was not worth the time I took to listen to it. The plot was slow, so very slow and the narrators voice for the main character made me want to turn it off. The main character was made to sound continually childish and petulant for the whole of the book. I struggled through to the end, but I would not buy another book narrated by this narrator.

What three words best describe Cat Doucette’s performance?

Hard on ears.

Could you see Burn being made into a movie or a TV series? Who would the stars be?

No, probably not.

Over the top

Too "Mills and Boon" for my liking - takes away from the storyline when every few minutes is an in depth sex scene :|

Good story, but the audio...

This is a very good story. I really loved it when I read it, but I couldn't enjoy the audio that much.

There are few things I didn't enjoy about the performance. 1. the voice of Harper is very whiny most of the time. it really stress me out whenever I listened to it. 2. there were no differences between a normal conversation or a telepathic one, so it became confusing. 3. there were also no differences between knox talking or his demon. 4. some times the performance was to exaggerated, making ot kind of weird.

This person has very good voices. the neutral one she used to narrated the story is good, and the others for the secondary characters also very good (except for Khloe. I hatedthat one too for the same reason as Harper's. They are badass and the voices used used were more for very annoying princesses).

I don't know what to do because I really want to have the audiobooks but I don't think it is worthy. My recommendation would be to read the books. They are excellent.

Love love love this series

This series is one of the best EVER... Lots of action and drama just brings this story alive. Knox is domination but fair with Harper but not overly friendly to others, it’s a perfect match of personalities

God awful

What is this rubbish? The narration was incredibly cringey and someone has a serious case of “over acting”. Truly horrible.
The story, had barely any substance! Total waste of my audible credit. Extremely disappointing.
