Publisher's Summary

"Suffering originates in the mind; the cessation of suffering originates in the mind."

"There are only two mistakes that can be made on the path to truth: don't go all the way and don't start."

These are just a few phrases from the famous Siddhartha Gautama, known as Gautama Buddha, considered in the Buddhist tradition as "the awakened one" or "the enlightened one" and his phrases have gone beyond the centuries feeling them alive and present even today.

In this manual, you can learn the history, the philosophy, the schools of thought, the principles, the meditation, the yoga and the benefits that led that common mortal to have a more acute, open and pure thought towards the world around us, of his own inner world and in the relationship with others, and apply it yourself in everyday life.

By learning these principles, you will be able to manage in the best way what happens to you and be able to reach, with constancy, that serenity that is so lacking in today's society.

In this manual, you can learn:

  • History of Buddhism and Buddha;
  • Buddhist philosophy;
  • The different Buddhist Schools;
  • The principle: Karma, Sufferance, Samsara, Nirvana;
  • The four noble truths;
  • Buddhist meditation, what it is, methods and benefits;
  • The yoga, what it is, methods and benefits;
  • The purpose of the Buddhist thought.

“Good trip, dear listener...."

Great book, not so great narration

Sounds like a really comprehensive guide with lots of history and accurate nomenclature, it is however very hard to listen to with strange sentence pauses and poor sentence flow.
