Will make you want to paint a chapter of them...

Hands down the best Spacemarine story I’ve heard so far. Great characters, a story that comes full circle and room for it to go further. The narration is superbly performed my Toby Longworth (loved him in Eisonhorn series).
I’m gonna build and paint me some Brothers of the Snake! 👍🏻

I have read the hours heresy. 8th edition till date and this book is one of the best.
your emotions fly and the ending is perfect where you want more but know that any more would worsen the story.
highly recommend for any 40k lover

Great successor chapter book!

Dan Abnett and Tony longworth combo books are the best I’ve listened too! This a great story for successor chapter with interesting characters and relevant connecting plot. The voice acting is brilliant allowing the reader to easily differentiate between characters so the listener doesn’t get lost as the book is read out!

Good as the rest of the Abbnett/Longworth library

Hard to dress what a fine pairing of author and narrator those two are, always a top listening experience. I do have some criticisms of the writing being a little predictable in some sections, you can really call some scenes just before they happen. But Abbnett really gets the you involved in the various world's he takes you to, and does a fantastic job of fleshing out the machinations of the various societies and cultures in 40k in all his work.
A very solid excursion into not often explored conflicts within the lore. Not up there with the sprawling Sagas of Gaunt or Eisonhorn, but I'd be more than willing to revisit these characters.

Best Space Marine book yet.

Abnett is a truly talented author who has a fantastic ability of being able to write and create stories in the 40k world which could be appreciated by many readers and listeners who are not fans of the lore.

Brothers of the Snake offered the most genuine insight into the mindset and trials of a Space Marine I’ve read thus far without falling into the stereotypical cheesey “FOR THE EMPERORRRRRRR!” Yelling, Bolter wielding heretic gore affair we are used to.

I can only hope Abnett continues to write something further on the journeys of the Iron Snakes.

A book any fantasy or sci fan fan will really enjoy.

Can not recommend highly enough.

Dan Annett knocks it for six again

As with anything his pen touches Dan Annett knocked this out of the park and Toby Longworth was a fantastic narrator for his words.
