About this listen
Brooke is a young woman who’s spent her entire life among the forest and its animals. During an outing one day, she saves a Kilbrian nobleman named Erick from an attack that results in the kidnapping of the woman he is engaged to.
After a successful rescue, Erick takes Katherine home and ends their arranged betrothal. She is livid, and plots with Erick’s mother for a reconciliation. Seeing Brooke as an obstacle and competitor, they also plot to get her out of the way. When they ambush her and leave her in the woods to die, Erick races to find her.
