This book went more into the relationship between Tora and Nate, though things do try to get between them, they come out stronger!
Stephanie Bentley does a great job narrating this series.

The first book moved at a steady pace with highs and lows; this one was hard to get through and was pretty repetitive at times. You could listen to the last five chapters and get the summary of the whole story. The last two chapters were disappointing and an almost absurd revelation. A better “secret@ could have been exposed. Will continue with the next book but if you’re trying to save time I suggest skip this book and go to book3 for the introductory recap.
