Publisher's Summary
Whisky made her forget. One man’s love will help her remember.
He could have walked away when he learned of his bride’s secret - that she is a raging alcoholic. But Brogan Mackintosh is not the kind of man to turn a blind eye to someone in need. He battled his own demons and won the fight against drink years before. Facing the challenges head-on, like the battle-hardened warrior he is, he is determined to help his new bride overcome the demons that haunt her. And he might even learn the truth surrounding the murders of her husband and infant son.
Mairghread Mactavish isn’t sure she can continue to breathe anymore without the aid of wine and whisky. Plunging herself into the dark abyss of drunkenness was the only place where she could catch glimpses, bits and pieces of her memory from the night her world was torn apart. When she learns the truth about the man she is to marry - a man who has murdered more than one wife and raped countless other women - she makes a desperate decision to marry Brogan Mackintosh instead. Brogan offers her more than a way out of marrying a murderer, however. He might be the only man who can give her back the life she once lived.
This is a story about overcoming grief and alcoholism and finding true love in your darkest hours.

Loved It!
Scottish historical romance at it's best. And oh what a hero; Brogan is what all heroes should be, honorable, caring, trustworthy and totally swoon worthy! I absolutely loved this story and know I will go back and listen to it it again in the future. Suzan Tisdale has a gift for taking you into the story and making you feel like you are right there watching the characters in person. The good characters were enchanting and I found myself caring for them all. The villains were so evil you could feel the emotional pull of wanting them caught. This is a must listen for anyone who enjoys Scottish historical romance and Brad Wills is the perfect narrator. He does an amazing job at all the voices and makes the listening experience so enjoyable!

Outstanding
I love Suzan Tisdale’s stories and this one is one of her best. If only every woman can find a man like Brogan. There isn’t anything more appealing in romance than a hot, hunky highlander with unquestionably honor, incredible kindness and the love and respect he has for his woman. This story delivers all of that and so much more. The author also pens an amazing lesson of the dedication involved in helping someone through addiction and how much brighter life is once you overcome those troubles. So well written and beautiful. I loved every word.
Narrator Brad Will performs this story so incredibly well. I was very impressed by his character voices and the emotion he puts into his performance. He is the very best!

Historical Scotland Come To Life
I couldn’t listen to this book fast enough! Suzan Tisdale and Brad Wills are a great combination of writer and narrator. Ms Tisdale’s writing transports this reader into the lives of the characters and Mr Wills brings the characters to life. No movie could ever compare.

I've read it twice!
I've loved every one of Suzan's stories & Brogan's Promise is no different. In fact, I've read & listened to Brogan & Mairghread's story twice as it's probably my favorite after Laiden's Daughter, the story that started it all! I still cry! I can't say enough about Brad Wills' narration. He's awesome & definitely one of my favorites [of this genre - as well as Dave Gillies & William Macleod]. He brings the characters to life & holds you spellbound. I love that Suzan's stories & "perfectly imperfect" characters broach real struggles & pain - the good, the bad, & the ugly...

Loved the story
The story was very good. The narrator was brilliant. Love him as much as my favourite narrator. He really brings out the voices of each character. This book should really be book 3 and not 4 as Roderick the bold was not with Muriel yet. if I had to read them again I will read this book before Roderick the Bold. But it's also ok if you read them in this order.
