En ung svensk kvinna, Caroline, har försvunnit i Thailand och Nicholas Warg får i uppdrag att hitta henne. Väl i Thailand leder sökandet efter Caroline in Nicholas Warg i en oväntad våg av kriminella uppgörelser och våld. Samtidigt får han reda på att en internationellt efterlyst jihadist jagas i Sverige, där Nicholas skrupelfria chef Diana verkar använda Salim som levande lockbete. Plötsligt befinner sig Nicholas i en situation där två personer han ansvarar för befinner sig i livsfara. Vem ska han prioritera och vem ska han offra? Caroline eller Salim?
