Publisher's Summary

Kill the traitor-prince.

The cry for Wes Malcolm's death has followed him from Earth all the way to Avalon, and an entire new breed of Hordebeast has taken up the call. Howling wolf-men now hunt him as an escaped convict, a false teacher, and a traitor to a legacy he had rejected immediately. Worse yet, he must fight not only for his own freedom, but for the prisoners he rescued from the dungeon on this ruined world.

Now he needs to evade the monsters long enough to get the former hostages to safety, then grow strong enough to battle his hunters and win. To do so, he’s going to have to delve into the ruins of this world and discover ghosts and secrets from another age, including the hidden history of Earth itself.

He cannot fall here. Too many worlds have put their hope in him.

Sequel to Downfall and Rise. Epic Portal Fantasy with LITRPG/GameLit elements.

Features profanity and adult themes. Also features a multi-bodied alien nerd-girl with a penchant for wearing ironic Earth t-shirts as a love interest. You have been warned.

Pseudo ptsd shallow side characters and slow story

Author seems like he wants to write a darker character thru this torture in the past book which feels shallow. The side character mainly feel like background noise and only provide one liners to push the story forward making them generic and one dimensional. Lastly most of the story drags on, most of the story takes place in his head and asking questions with avalon. I get that its supposed to be "world building" but a lot of it is unnecessary noise and very little story progression. I hope book 3 gets better since I enjoyed the 1st book.

the only saving grace are the two narrators.

Its raw and it tugs at your soul...

An excellent sequel. The writing is amazing and the voice acting is... Phenomenal! The raw emotion and the gutteral rage portrayed by the voice actors through the characters is just AWEsome, Extraordinary, Amazing, Outstanding and absolutely gut wrenching! The author and the voice actors make one of the most powerful combinations I've ever listened to and I will desperately keep checking for the next book.

The most pathetic MC he crys 40% of the book!

I have listened to hundreds of books and I can honestly say this is my first negative review!! First off the performance was amazing, but NO ONE AND I MEAN NO ONE WANTS TO HEAR A CRYING MC ALMOST THE WHOLE TIME!!! WHAT THE CRYING MC IS GOING ON WITH THIS 2ND BOOK!!

brace for adventure

some of the best voice acting I have ever heard and unless you already have the Nextbook ready to listen to you will most likely curse the author when this ends on another cliffhanger

To whiney

I thought him being a little wuss was done in book 1. I thought that whole crying about his life was done to show as part of growing into power and to show where he came from and how tough his life was. It greatly built his character and they ended book one strong as hell. I loved book 1 and how it ended but than I listened to book two. The entire build up to such a strong finish that showed him as unbreakable was completely ruined in book 2. He kept flipping so much into a little bitch that anytime he stepped up he was still a crying little bitch and by the end I didn't really care if the main mc died or not. Book 2 completely ruined book 1 for me.

I think they even double or tripled downed on his crying and whining in book 2 to where I feel like his character has gotten weaker not stronger.

Not only did it kill book two but they weren't satisfied, they had to go back and make book 1 dead by killing the exact reason I loved book one by explaining he wasn't unbroken like he was portrayed in the ending. They took out a chapter in this book to explain that the entire ending of book one he was just a broken down little crying pig and not the Super Saiyan they had ended the book with. This is the first time I have read a book that actually killed my love for the first book. I'm doubly pissed at that.
