About this listen

Dear Mr. Brisken,

How do I hate you? Let me count the ways.

I hate your smug, sexy millionaire face. I hate your cocky, skirt-chasing, playboy ways. I hate working as your secretary - but, I love the pay. It almost makes dealing with you worth it.

I hate how my friends call you a BILF, when really BILK (Boss I'd Like to Kill) is more appropriate.

I hate that I need you to be my date for my best friend's wedding because my ex-boyfriend, the King of Heartbreakers, and his new busty blonde girlfriend will be in attendance.

But mostly, I hate how once the charade is over, I might not hate you at all...it was so much easier when you were the Boss I Loved To Hate.

Contains mature themes.

The story was ok but the narration was soooo slow that I had to turn up the speed to make it bearable.

Not a fave

Good stuff first, if you love romcoms with quirky back and forth banter this is for you!
Some of the scenes I just loved and giggled and gushed! Also great narration!
The narration did take a couple chapters to get used to but I enjoyed it by the end. Also I listen on 1.40-1.75 speed. I just prefer most of these to be faster and it makes it better in my opinion.

Now for the Nitty gritty, she was a bit annoying and to be honest I did not think she deserved him and actually thought she was too sensitive at times. If I did someone a favour and then they bought me coffee and my favourite doughnuts damn! I'd be so grateful!
She told everyone and I mean everyone.. how aweful he was because she did her job and he didn't always say thank you? Jeez needy much. Yes she did a few things out of her job description but again she could have said no? If she was really upset there is HR but no she bragged to everyone how aweful he was. He wasn't aweful at all, he just wasn't always polite as running a business can be stressful. She was annoying but BUT her drunk she's pretty funny and I loved their interactions at the wedding. Brad was my favourite character and he did so much for her, he was definitely under appreciated and deserved better.

Love it!

Love their story so much. Not a fan of the guy’s narrator though hence performance is only 3 stars. It’s just too slow for me.

Great story

I so loved this story, the banter between them. I loved the sense of strong family support around them. But most just loved his pursuit of her. Amazing.
Narration was awesome.

Loved this book! Not a fan of the narrators, but loved the story nonetheless. Alex Kydd’s performances are better in later production years.

Loved it!!

I gave up after chapter 4. Didn’t like the male narrator and the story was so slow

Couldn’t finish
