The title says it all. I don’t need to write 15 words to explain why I liked this.

Great story with great narrator

This a clear example of how to perform shouting for an audio book and not just whisper-fake shouting that most narrators do instead. Over all performance is outstanding my only complaint is that all the younger female characters sound like they are valley girls.

Characters and narrative is excellent even tho it's mostly set in one town so the story should feel slow. But the character interactions and mystery plot in book 2 keeps it engaging. System notifications as "Alert" rather than "Ding" should be the gold standard for rpglit going forward so much more pleasant on the ears.

One of the best LitRPG series out there. Fantastic system, characters with depth, a story that excites and some of the best performance in audible.


Number 1 on my recommendation list! Can’t wait for more books.

The which witch is which mystery was so much fun to play along with, and the ultimate reveal was so well done. Looking forward to the next book.
