IT'S MY BODY THERE ON THE TABLE

Pathologist Maura Isles has dissected her fair share of corpses. But this time it's different, because the victim looks exactly like her.

Detective Jane Rizzoli is assigned to investigate, and finds herself tracking a twisted killer across the country. To catch him, Maura is forced to delve into a dark and dangerous family history - her own.

Another audio book that I have enjoyed to the end. The performance by the Narrator was excellent and really made the story

Suspenseful

Book 3 in the series was a bit weak in my opinion and I nearly gave up on book 4 but I’m glad I persisted.

I didn’t gel with the narrator however. Her reading voice was fine but the characters’ voices were dreadful and really took away some of the enjoyment for me.

Slow start but gained momentum rapidly

This one was edge of you seat, probably more than it’s predecessors. I really enjoyed the Maura storyline which was a lot darker than the version they told on the tv show. A lot more chilling and impactful for the character too. The voice acting was good- other than for Rizzoli- her voice was so nasal it kept taking me out of it but by the end I got used to it. Just took some adjusting. The accent was probably a lot more true to the character though. Off to the next book now….

Great story but adjustment to new narrator

I love the Rizzoli Isles partnership and with each book in the series their relationship develops. This story, as with the others was excellent; the suspense kept me gripped throughout.
Major distraction was the narration of Jane Rizzoli and Maddie Purvis… both characters sounded sped up and as if they had inhaled helium, it made me focus doubly hard on what they were saying, rather than what I heard.
