About this listen

Roger, Blue Knight's alternate identity, finds his New York City visit very different than expected. He is there when Azzam from Amman, Jordan, succeeds in his 20-year search for a jinni in a lamp. The arrival of powerful marid, Kadar, makes life more interesting for everyone on Manhattan Island...and nervous, as well.

Kadar's puzzling presence and difficult demands are a new challenge for Blue Knight. He is an adversary with whom Roger/Blue Knight hopes he can have more success than he did with The Artiste. He is grateful not to be alone. Myra, fellow roomer in Chicago, is on the trip with him. In fact, if it were not for Myra, Roger would not be in New York at all at the time of Azzam's discovery.

Roger tries to hide his envy when Myra reveals the invitation she received from her friend, Julie. Roger is delighted when Myra tells him he can join her if he wishes. Going to New York is the fulfillment of a long held dream...second only to his dreams of knights of old. He also had reveries of Hawaii but realized it was foolish to think that three in a row could come true. (Oh, if he only knew...check out Episode IV.)
