Maybe the wrong voice for this story?

Having listened to other books by this Author and knowing her writing style almost intimately, I feel like they chose the wrong voice actor for this story. Her voice, while great for some books which I have enjoyed listening from her, I do feel like it made this story harder to listen to.
I do understand that my environment may play a factor. So I tried to rewind and listen in different places but it was still difficult to finish. I was largely unhappy with this as I love both Voice Actor and Author.
