loved it! just finished the audio for the 3rd time and each time a spark has ignited a different perspective. opportunities really are in every choice and thing we do and our perspective/s are the value of which we choose it to be. My take away on this read is obvious to me and is really actually a reminder that the measure of ones personal growth and development is in the character of that persons choices.
Honesty, integrity, vulnerability and the concept of being a student every day of your life, These characteristics are just some of the keys to fulfilment in my opinion and some of which charlarmagne showed in this great read.
Also the humor of this book and the fact that 'Larry' told it himself was that much more enjoyable.

I thought he was just a big mouth radio broadcaster that would embarrass others for entertainment on his radio show.
But after listening to his book, I inspire to be more true to my word and not ashamed to say what I need to, even if it hurts you. Not to put others down but to bring them up and help others realize their true potential.

Recommended For Young and Old.

Great narrator, Charalamagne has given me that oomph to go out and get what I want in life.

This is the book you need when you're in the slumps and need to get a good kick in the ass to get going.


I appreciate charlamagne sharing his life story with me and opening up about his trials and tribulations which helped him become the man he is today.

I sought this book out after seeing Charlamagne on Real Time with Bill Maher. He was humorous, brave and insightful with Bill. His book starts off similarly, but he lost me two thirds in. Too much boring detail about the politics of the radio world, and too much bragging.
