Christian Hull is a hardcore introvert. He loves being a little bit famous for his videos, but at the end of the day, he's a lone wolf - more interested in Caramilk on the couch than cocktails in the club. He's a strong believer in Netflix and chilling at home, alone - he’s always the first to smoke-bomb social events, and he is in a committed relationship with his indoor plants. Rhys Nicholson is a multi-award winning comedian, writer and busy mum with an anxiety disorder, a complicated relationship with food and a book deal. Good on you, Em
I wasn’t really familiar with her work, only vaguely remembering her name from somewhere. But a comedian’s autobiography on the daily deal, what the hell? I’m so glad I did. It was funny, it was sad, it was so wonderfully honest. I really feel like I got to know her. And now I’m a fan, boob hair and all. A truly lovely read.

Love It
Loved this book. Em has a very unique way of speaking and I am very glad I was able to hear her words in her own words.
The only issue, there were meant to be pictures included, and I don’t have any. Additionally, the list of chapter numbers are out of sync with the actual audio reading.
I love this book. I first saw Em perform a live music/stand up/real life performance (on tv because I was not previously aware of her existence and stumbling upon her show was the highlight of my year. And finding this audio book was even better!) and not only did I desperately want her outfits, but I also wanted to BE her. She helps you understand that it’s all well and good to want to be another person (even one as spectacular as she) but that just means no one gets to be YOU. So keep being YOU.
And as a member of the LGBTIQ+ community, we love you and your guts.

Honest and with heart
I love this audiobook and I wholeheartedly recommend it. Em’s story is relatable, honest, funny and important. I laughed, I cringed and I cried. Especially over the final chapter appended at the end. Oh how I cried. Don’t listen to that last chapter in your car, with make up on, on your way to work (or somewhere more important!). But do listen to this book!
