Publisher's Summary

A courageous, life-changing memoir that teaches us to apply the lessons learned by those nearing their death to our own life.

After too many years of unfulfilling work, Bronnie Ware began searching for a job with meaning. Despite having no formal qualifications or experience, she found herself working in palliative care.

During the time she spent tending to the needs of those who were dying, Bronnie's life was transformed. Later, she wrote an Internet blog post about the most common regrets that the people she had cared for had expressed to her. The post, also called 'The Top Five Regrets of the Dying', gained so much momentum that it was viewed by more than three million people worldwide in its first year. At the request of many, Bronnie now shares her personal story.

Bronnie has had a colourful and diverse life. By applying the lessons of those nearing their death to her own life, she developed an understanding that it is possible for everyone, if they make conscious choices, to die with peace of mind. In this heartfelt retelling, Bronnie expresses the significance of these regrets. She explains how we can address these issues positively now, while we still have the time.

The Top Five Regrets of the Dying: A Life Transformed by the Dearly Departing gives hope for a better world. Bronnie's delightful memoir is a courageous, life-changing book that will leave you feeling more compassionate and inspired to live the life you are truly here to live.

Better for having read it

Some books are great to read just because they show off an aspect of human nature that is inspiring and uplifting. Bronnie Ware's story is inspiring. She is inspiring. A person who cares about the world and the people in it. Well put together, and easy to identify with.

Must read! 9/10

Fantastic perspectives and mindsets shared from Bronnie and her interesting life. Such truth shared from these pages. At times found a little wordy for me personally, particularly the first few chapters. But would highly encourage anyone who wants to appreciate the life more and find deeper purpose in their life today to read this now. Thanks for the wonderful work Bronnie !

it really helps understanding life and death.
the importance of family, friends and awareness.
the role we have in our life and in those of others.
the weight of expectations.
how much interacting in positive and kind ways can make a big change...
lots to learn, lots to love!

Beautiful and deep

Beautiful and gently written book about unavoidable end for all humans. It gave me a rare inside into death and regrets that may come with it, but also other difficult moments in one’s life.
Thanks Bronnie for sharing you knowledge and experience. Some part definitely helped me to better understand myself.

inspiring stories

If you could sum up The Top Five Regrets of the Dying in three words, what would they be?

I loved listening to Bronnie's stories , they all tied in well with the title and exemplified well the points she was putting a cross

Any additional comments?

The book was certainly thought provoking. A small critisism was that I found her voice not the easiest to listen too
