The No.1 bestselling memoir of Roy Keane, former captain of Manchester United and Ireland

In a stunning collaboration with Booker Prize-winning author Roddy Doyle, Roy Keane gives a brutally honest account of his days as a player, the highs and lows of his managerial career and his life as an outspoken ITV pundit.

As part of a tiny elite of football players, Roy Keane has had a life like no other. His status as one of football's greatest stars is undisputed, but what of the challenges beyond the pitch? How did he succeed in coming to terms with life as a former Manchester United and Ireland leader and champion, reinventing himself as a manager and then a broadcaster, and cope with the psychological struggles this entailed?

THE SECOND HALF blends anecdote and reflection in Roy Keane's inimitable voice. The result is an unforgettable personal odyssey which fearlessly challenges the meaning of success.

Really Entertaining Read

Would have been even better if Roy had narrated the whole book not just first chapter. Roy shared with us his complex character with some great stories many had me laughing out loud but one thing really came across was Roy’s strive for excellence in his life.

Not the same without Roy’s Voice.

The guy doing Roy Keane’s voice sounds awful...especially after the real Roy Keane has spoken the introduction. This guy doesn’t sound like he’s ever kicked a football in his life. I can’t listen any further. I can’t finish chapter 3...he’s just too irritating and weedy sounding.

Surprisingly funny!

Great story and well wrote but would have preferred if Keane read the entire book, it would have made it more enjoyable. Was still a great listen especially if you have an interest in sport and have any previous knowledge of Keane's history as a player and/or manager.

Worth a listen - But narrator is a bit annoying

Good story to tell and he doesn't hold back.
The narrator forces his Cork accent way too much, that was hard to get used to.

egotistical

I found it very boorish. Kean is far too full pf his own self importance.
