For decades we've been told that positive thinking is the key to a happy, rich life. "F*ck positivity," Mark Manson says. "Let's be honest, shit is f*cked, and we have to live with it." In his wildly popular Internet blog, Manson doesn't sugarcoat or equivocate. He tells it like it is - a dose of raw, refreshing, honest truth that is sorely lacking today. The Subtle Art of Not Giving a F*ck is his antidote to the coddling, let's-all-feel-good mind-set that has infected modern society and spoiled a generation, rewarding them with gold medals just for showing up.
Why are some people and organizations more innovative, more influential, and more profitable than others? Why do some command greater loyalty from customers and employees alike? Even among the successful, why are so few able to repeat their successes over and over? People like Martin Luther King, Jr.; Steve Jobs; and the Wright Brothers might have little in common, but they all started with why. Their natural ability to start with why enabled them to inspire those around them and to achieve remarkable things.

Imagine a world where almost everyone wakes up inspired to go to work. This is not a crazy, idealised notion. In many successful organisations, great leaders are creating environments in which teams trust each other so deeply that they would put their lives on the line for each other. Yet other teams, no matter what incentives are offered, are doomed to infighting, fragmentation and failure. Why? Today's workplaces tend to be full of cynicism, paranoia and self-interest.

I’m a fan of Richard Branson so was looking forward to listening. I was a bit disappointed that it wasn’t him reading it, as it had been previously, but the reader sounded quite like him and I got over it quickly.
Some parts are good, in particular I like some of the business challenges that were touched on. In parts though I found myself a little bored as it seemed a bit more of a vanity project.
Overall worth a listen if you’re a fan.
Good narrator. Great listen. What an incredible and inspiring character. After listening to the accidents appendix, I can't believe he's still alive!

Great performance. Just a collection of stories that were interesting. Not as motivational as his last book, but I did read his last book quite a long time ago.
enjoyable listening..
Narration was excellent
Super excited about Unlimited annual leave for employees at Virgin
Just what I needed. Between the pages I found the colourful life and experiences of both a driven human being and a dad. Flying with inspiration and focus I have decided to embark on my new scary adventure.
I found this book to be full of lessons of professionalism, humour and mana. Wonderful title that has made me a better professional and person.
Played at 1.5 speed the author sounds a bit like Branson. A good listen for sure
If you could sum up Finding My Virginity in three words, what would they be?

Any additional comments?
It's a brilliant book full of eccentricity, courage, and a deep sense of family. Richard certainly seems to have struck the balance of living life to the full by his own definition of success
I was waiting for this book for ages. Did not disappoint at all. Can not wait for the “finding my virginity”. Please please Richard, do not dare to do something stupid to kill your self. This world needs you. Love Martin.

the book summarises Branson's style of doing business - he is the same in writing. Highly recommend it to anyone looking for inspiration in the areas of entrepreneurship, innovation, management, self-help
Really enjoyed this book very entertaining, would recommend this book to anyone
Yes yes yes
It's a great book and insight to Richard Branson life. However it feels more like a collection of notes, so it feels a bit on the surface, without digging much deeper on any subjects.
A must Reading for every dreamer who aspires to change the world. Thanks a lot Richard
I am a huge Richard Branson fan and this book definitely didn’t disappoint. I enjoy his honesty and the fact he can be critical of himself.
Inspired me to right down more ideas. I now always keep a notebook with me.
I loved it! Very captivating story and clean narrative. I recommend to everyone this book.
great book for great bio would love to read it again and again also I can't wait till I read next in bio series virginity found
Branson is a great story teller with some stories to tell... Inspired me to adventure more!
It was tough to listen to the first 5hrs but I couldn't go on any further. The narrator uses American grammar not British and just sounds far too smug. Especially when describing skiing holidays and having lunch with Obama etc etc. Too much trumpet blowing for my liking combined with a smug sounding narrator just makes me want to puke.

Just amazing that one person can achieve so much across so many different areas....and he's still not done yet! Richard Branson should be cloned. Virgin Clones ? ;-)

Listen! You're going to love this audio book! If you're not that much into reading a book (the book is bigger than you think) then listening to the audio will suit you. Steve West is an amazing narrator! When you listen to him it sounds like Sir Richard Branson himself is reading the book. A great choice for a narrator.
Without boring you with too much info, this autobiography basically picks up from where it left off. Anyway... enough of me scribbling words. Go out and buy it and check it out for yourself. Screw it! Just do it! ;)

Couldnt make it past chapter 6. I appreciate it's an autobiography, but the entire book is a8med at inflating Richard's ego as oppose to providing any detail or interesting insite.

No substance. Very Disappointing. Listens like an extended CV. No heart to the story. Other biographies much better.
