Story
We all have a tendency to work around problems. We are resourceful. We improvise. We’re so accustomed to managing emergencies as they strike that we often don’t stop to think about how we could prevent crises before they happen. Why 'solve' crimes when we could stop them being committed? Why treat chronic diseases when they could be prevented from developing? Why provide shelter for the homeless rather than working to keep people housed in the first place? Why do our efforts skew so heavily towards reaction rather than prevention?

Story
The Fearless Organization offers practical guidance for teams and organizations who are serious about success in the modern economy. With so much riding on innovation, creativity, and spark, it is essential to attract and retain quality talent, but what good does this talent do if no one is able to speak their mind? The traditional culture of "fitting in" and "going along" spells doom in the knowledge economy. Success requires a continuous influx of new ideas, new challenges, and critical thought, and the interpersonal climate must not suppress, silence, ridicule, or intimidate.

Story
As a young man, Ed Catmull had a dream: To make the world’s first computer-animated movie. He nurtured that dream first as a Ph.D. student at the University of Utah, where many computer science pioneers got their start, and then forged an early partnership with George Lucas that led, indirectly, to his founding Pixar with Steve Jobs and John Lasseter in 1986. Nine years later and against all odds, Toy Story was released, changing animation forever.

Publisher's Summary
Double your odds of leading successful, sustainable change
Leaders aren't short on access to change management advice, but the jury has long been out as to which approach is the best one to follow. With the publication of Beyond Performance 2.0, the verdict is well and truly in. By applying the approach detailed by authors Scott Keller and Bill Schaninger, the evidence shows that leaders can more than double their odds of success - from 30 percent to almost 80.
Whereas the first edition of Beyond Performance introduced the authors' "Five Frames of Performance and Health" approach to change management, the fully revised and updated Beyond Performance 2.0 has been transformed into a truly practical "how to" guide for leaders. Every aspect of how to lead change at scale is covered in a step-by-step manner, always accompanied by practical tools and real-life examples.

Great book! I just ordered the physical copy!
I’d recommend this book to anyone working with other people. It provides valuable insights into the overall change process, which is helpful whether it is you that are going through change, or your clients. Furthermore it adds to your general leadership skills. And backs it all up with data and practical examples.

A great meta-model
This book does not really bring any particular new insight in the realm of management (or change management as it is presented). However it does connect many focused research insights and practices that put together provide a consistent framework to approach what I would call complex organizations and not necessary change management. The only caveat is a shy (poor) adaptation of Theory U, for the rest at least the tip of iceberg of each framework and theory interwoven in this meta-model is perfectly placed to help you achieve better results.

Organisational change management
Very interesting book! It gives a good overview of the different elements needed to drive change in an organisation. Do take notes during this one. There is a lot of information being given. I would go as far as buying the book and read and listen at the same time.

Game Changer
I've struggled in the past to pin point exactly why well meaning employees weren't engaged and didn't perform as I hoped when it came to change. This book is written in a language that is so simple yet so impactful. I'm definitely buying the hard copy as well because this is about to become my change management bible.

Mostly a sales pitch for their paid tools
Products are mentioned in every other sentence, full of fluffy jargon and self-praise. Very disapointed, since I adore the other McKinsey partners books.
