Explore the captivating history of Benjamin Franklin!

Benjamin Franklin was a Founding Father of America and had an enormous impact on America as it is today. In addition to that, there are many little-known facts about the man who is Benjamin Franklin. Unlike many of the other Founding Fathers, he started out in humble circumstances. Franklin never finished college because his parents couldn’t afford it. He hated his first job, and when he did get another one, he left without notice.

From a young age, Benjamin Franklin fought for the rights of America at home and abroad. Yet, he bore the burdens of leadership and never shirked nor faltered in his mission. His greatest asset was his charm and friendliness, but he had his detractors as well and felt the emotional impact of that.

Excellent Audiobook

Throughout this biography, I learned more about Ben than I even knew was there to learn. It is written for the normal reader, not the scholar (like the other Ben biography I tried to read). It reads well and gives a nicely rounded picture of this incredible gent.

What an informative book

This is an absolutely fascinating, beautifully written bio that covers both a man and an epoch. While the prose is extremely dense and well informed, the book never indulges in academic excess or obscure controversies in order to develop a point of view for reasons of career. It is just a great elegant read that completely held my interest from start to finish.

Amazing Biography Of Ben Frankiln

This biography of Benjamin Franklin succeeds in being both revealing and readable. The genius and "errata" of Benjamin are presented in a highly interesting, detailed and candid story. Although I had read his autobiography and other books on the American Revolution, this biography revealed even more of this remarkable man. Highly recommended to those interested in the America's Founding Fathers.

Awesome

A thoroughly enjoyable book especially for fans of Benjamin Franklin. Explores his strengths and social failings, but maybe a bit much for those who have only a passing interest.

Very inspirational

I found this book to be very inspirational. Benjamin Franklin was really an outstanding individual and the author does a great job telling his story. Ben Franklin seemed to learn the hard and valuable lessons of life while he was still young. He learned how to fight for his beliefs and influence others with tact, cleverness, and success. He strove to be an active and valuable citizen.

Informative Stuff

What a wonderful balance Franklin was with most of the highly elite, formally educated founding fathers. If he had not been around during the writing of the Constitution, we very well could be a nation led by Kings and Queens. His mind was sharp and always examining possibilities for explanations of nature.

This is what i needed

An easy read that does much to explain Franklin's genius and contributions. Also provides insight into the science of his day, as well as the issues and tensions giving birth to the USA.

Amazing History Book

Well written and contained a great many things that I did not know about Franklin. His family relationships were particularly notable and not necessarily in a good way.

Grab It

An excellent examination of great American. Some great lessons for today's politicians. The only problem is that Benjamin would have had to deal with out tabloid press environment. Benjamin makes us wish for a simpler time in political discourse.

Great Infomative Book

Haven't finished it yet, so far, so good. I love books about our founding fathers and the forming of our country. I think everyone should have a better understanding of how America came to be with the form of government we had. It would help people appreciate our country more!

Very Informative

I never realized what a narcissist Franklin was, and what damage he did to those who cared for him. Just goes to show that a really selfish, self-centered man can still do great good for his nation.

Awesome Information

I also thought of Ben Franklin as an old guy that was holding stuff in the air so it would be struck by lighting. It was amazing how many times he re-invented himself. I would buy again from this seller.
