About this listen
"The Wolf, the Witch, and Her Lack of Wardrobe" by Shelly Laurenston: Jamie Meacham has enough trouble controlling her supernatural abilities. There's no time for lust, or for Tully Smith, even with his smoldering amber eyes. But Tully's grappling with his own animal instincts as a powerful shifter-wolf, trying to protect all his territory....
"In the Dark" by Cynthia Eden: FBI agent and leopard shifter Sadie James's undead ex, Liam, still arouses her deepest desires. By teaming up with Liam, Sadie has a better chance of tracking the brutal rogue shifter who is terrorizing Miami, but as passion consumes them, she stands to lose more than just her heart.
"City of the Dead" by Sherrill Quinn: Dori Falcon is a witch with a plan: Get to New Orleans, locate her missing brother, and recover a mysterious and powerful amulet. Her plan never included falling for sexy Cajun cop Jake Boudreau; but without his help, she may never find the key to her family's survival.
Contains mature themes.

SHELLY LAURENSTON - THE WOLF, THE WITCH AND HER LACK OF WARDROBE - Long Island Coven 1
4 stars
A real pity Ms Laurenston has never added to this series.
Read for the Shelly Laurenston story.
Just loved this second book in THE LONG ISLAND COVEN series.
It had quite a few laugh out loud moments in Tully’s pursuit of Jamie but also had a few horrible moments when rotten family members come causing problems.
Luckily Jamie and her sisters are more than a match for these ratbags.
Love how Tully was with his family and his Mumma, so sweet yet the sibling carry on was funny.
And it was great what Jamie did to the nasty one who was a real viscous piece of work. Karma sure did her job there.
I have read and reviewed this book years ago but my reviews are missing. Never a hardship to reread but I notice these books are no longer available.
CYNTHIA EDEN - IN THE DARK
3 stars
Started well but then.
Liam, hard to like but a good person really.
I didn’t like him being with all those other woman, though not truly his fault. Though I did feel sorry for what he’d been through and how he’d been badly treated.
He was apparently so upset and missing Sadie so much that he had to screw every woman that came along in the two years Sadie had thought he was dead.
It’s not totally his fault and he was treated badly by Miller and his maker.
Sadie was a bit of a doormat, just took him back within a short time.
And at the beginning, though she did stake him, she never even tried to take him down again at being used as food on them first meeting again. Basically being assaulted.
I hated him calling her love the way he did.
Also, when Sadie changes to her cat, it seems to take so long she should be dead. For a hunter, she’s not much of a decent fighter.
Enjoyed the cat and mouse part of the cat killer and the twist with the twins.
She also changes a whole lifetime of thinking about vampires with one thought.
Lousy Irish accent
Seems the killer is better than all the agents.
Takes two leopards to take him down and then he still gets to cause mayhem.
Because they once again don’t deal with the killer properly, (who doesn’t secure a prisoner), we get a major fubar.
So stupid FBI gets it wrong again.
Twist at the end was entertaining.
SHERRILL QUINN - CITY OF THE DEAD
2 stars
Cannot stand the narrator’s awful Cajun accent.
To drawling and annoying.
Does Dori actually have any thoughts about Jake other than having sex.
Stupid brother syndrome. Art was a complete idiot with his stupid actions/thinking.
Didn’t enjoy the story really or the ending.
Bought purely for the Ms Laurenston story.
