Publisher's Summary

With an embrace that covers all our wishes, God loves you. He wants your intimacy, simplicity, and obedience in a close personal relationship with him. This is an exceptional honor and privilege. Moses, David, and Jesus, of course, had a close relationship with God. But how do you develop God's intimacy?

Participation in God's life! Some value the thought as the very goal of the gospel. It's like unbiblical mysticism was mistrusted by others. What is true? What is true?

Here we will present a biblical case for maximum intimacy with God: divine participation. We shall discuss the precious faith of unity with God, which gives us such participation; we shall stress the role of Christ as Mediator, promising and establishing this relationship; we should understand how this friendship is shared in the Church corporeally, but also briefly, as we will "be face to face" only in the end. The Triune Lord celebrates everlasting peace as a group of trusting persons.

The Lord heard the Sound in the union of the Soul before the foundation of the world. Virtually every verse about God's pre-creational life describes the Father's focus on the Son. Likewise, the Son commits himself utterly to the Father in the power of the Spirit. This is the love that the world has both predated and created.

This book explains everything you need to know about being intimate with God, how to recognize it if you are afar from God, and various steps to be intimately close to God.

Few of the thing you will find in the book are:

  • What is intimacy?
  • Now come to think of it, are you in an intimate relationship with God
  • What is intimacy with God
  • Are you far from God
  • How do I prepare for greater intimacy with God
  • Steps to becoming intimate with God
  • Practice disciplined prayer
  • Be thankful to God
  • Learn always to confess your sins unto God
  • Practice Godly habits
  • Read the Bible
  • God's Call for Intimacy

As we look at our intimacy experiences, we must remember that we are in the wilderness. Jesus certainly taught us to say a blessing in the woods. "Grant us our daily bread today" helps us recall Exodus 16 manna. Jesus portrays Christian life as something like Israel's wilderness walks: we also need daily bread.

We are no longer the victims of sin in Egypt, but we have not reached the promised land. There's a sense that we're living in a dry place. We are trapped in an intermediate period-saved from evil, bound for heaven, but we are poor beggars, longing for the Broad of Life every day.

Christians have everything in Christ, yet 99 percent of our blessings are for the next life. Therefore, everything we feel now is a pure blessing. And living in this era isn't about getting so much. While we live with Christ in this intervening period, we are not independent; we rely on God for all.

If we say "don't take us into temptation," we note the forest is a season of trial and jury. This will be the nature of our Christian life until we reach the new creation's' promised land.' Right now, we will feel tempted, oppressed, and spiritually hungry to a certain extent. We haven't landed yet.

Such confirmation

I loved the format and the simplicity of the listening and the information itself. For me, it is a reminding to remember what I have forgotten. Furthermore, it confirms my own conversations with GOD whereas things that have been said were out of what society and my religious beliefs deem as appropriate or correct, yet they stirred in my heart and to hear them from another is amazing.

Brilliantly Mind Boggling & Eye Opening

This literally answers every question I have ever had about the nature of man's relationship with God, the nature of our reality and life. Felt so close to the author after book one. Books two and three just take the bond to a deeper level. Recommended for anyone searching for answers about Practice Disciplined Prayer, Be Thankful to God.

Good listen

Good thoughts but my eschatology teachings vary from his in that I believe in raptured end times. Other than that a terrific book on a seldom written about topic.

Positively Absolutely Splendid

This audiobook was phenomenal to me. Obviously, anybody hesitant to take this in because of the title and content itself would be advised to use their own personal discernment with the messages.... but it's one of those books that just hits home for me. I've received so much benefit from this that I'm selectively recommending it to friends... using the inspiration to clarify my purpose and next steps.

Very thought provoking

This book really gets you to thinking about God and your relationship with God. I listen a little bit and then stop and think. Listen a little more and stop and pray. Listen a little more and stop and meditate on a scripture. I am very, very glad that I purchased this book!

Amazing

Certainly one of the best books on this topic that I’ve ever listen. A balanced, rich and insightful book that changes the way we see God and entices the reader to seek Him more diligently. The author uses many examples from His own life stories to illustrate what it means to have a relationship with God, including being disciplined. The balance between being disciplined (which helps us grow) and the manifest presence of God is well illustrated and helps us to deepen our understand of the seasons in our own life with regards to our walk with God. Highly recommended!

Exactly what I needed

I have spent a lifetime riddled with guilt and shame from being raised in the Mormon faith with a God who hated me. This book has helped me remember who God really is, and I couldn’t be more grateful. To anyone who has closed themselves off to a spiritual existence due to the pain of a knowing a vengeful God, this book is calling you.

True devotion

I have done the exercises multiple times but was extremely impressed with the structure and flow of this one. The relevance and impact of intimacy and consolation were constantly evident. Much obliged to this work.

Excellent.

Very revelatory listening. Even though its short, it is relevant, very explanatory and completely life-changing. It is well put together and brings the background and context to the book of Ephesians.

This book was sent to a female prisoner to bring hope to her and the other women around her. What an easy way to encourage and witness to those in need. Please consider doing the same.

Good Education

I have a friend who does "Centering Prayer" and wanted to understand it. This is a great book to read for understanding and also for how to do it. I like the "idea" of meditation, but so much seems to be "centered" in Buddha. Nothing wrong with that, but I'm a Christian and do not believe in Buddha except that he might have some things worth sharing. I like this coming from a Christian perspective. I agree with Edward that practicing it in a group could be useful. Very interesting listening.

Centering Prayer Properly Explained

This book is wonderful and extremely useful. Most of us pray asking for things for ourselves or others. Silent prayer, such as "centering prayer", is praying out of humility and surrendering to God. The book is easy to listen and not technical. Both Protestants and Catholics should love it. For anyone who wants to have a personal relationship with God, listening to him seems to be a good start.
