the story was a little lacking and had to many time jumps but I still enjoyed it

good not great

I do like that the writer stuck to the main storyline but had a terrible choice of companions. infect felt like they purposely excluded a couple of the most famous ones for no apparent reason. they did make the main character though seem more powerful than what was available in the game and at one point I felt absolutely slained one of the important characters. by having him cheat on his beloved. if you're a fan of the game you're going to be disappointed. I know that what I'm saying seems to be very generic and bland but I'm trying not to Spore the story for anyone who hasn't played the game or read the book. the person that did the narration I felt it did a very good job. I do like how he tried to copy the voices of The Voice Actors from the game.

this person went with all the boring options boring options

I was hoping for a rather fun romp through the storyline of a game I enjoy.
Instead what I received was a rather bad fanfic that doesn’t reflect how the story or characters go in the slightest to the point I got annoyed enough I didn’t even bother finishing and I’ve finished the entire Twilight series.

Don’t bother if you enjoy the game

The game brought to life in a different way through the book, fun to listen too.

Great

So whoever has written this is obviously and utterly in love with Jahiera - which is fine, but it's all the book is about for the most part. If you want to listen to a book that encapsulates the term "she boobed boobily" then this is by far one of the better examples I've found it quite some time.

Sarevok sounds like Count Dracula! I'm really enjoying just how awful this is :)

And its got a ghoul who speaks like Yoda!

And a sex-pot elf shoehorned into a horny adolescent fantasy romance who speaks in a vaguely Swedish accent. Swedish by way of Texas.

This book is the gift that keeps on giving. It's truly awful and absolutely hilarious. The audiobook version of "The Room".

Absolutely hilarious!

This book is an offensive read (listen) for anyone who has played the original Baldur's Gate game. I know the point of an RPG is to insert yourself into fantasy but I think the author took it slightly too far here, borderline smut where every female character was robbed of any redeemable personality trait in order for them to fawn over the MC. Didn't help that the narrator read through the pages like a junior high student, you could figure out wherever line breaks or page breaks were by counting the seconds he paused between words that didn't require... them.

a horrible book, horribly read
