Publisher's Summary

A royal romance like you've never heard before. From New York Times best-selling author, S.L. Scott, comes a new standalone that will have you swooning over the alpha billionaire while cheering the headstrong and fierce princess who's determined to make her mark on history.

Being bad never felt so good.

Incredible body. Successful. Drop dead gorgeous.

The first time I laid eyes on Hutton Everest, I knew I was in trouble. I'd never met a man so captivating. He was charming, intelligent, and utterly irresistible.

Exiled from my country, I was sent to the States to clean up my bad reputation and he became the perfect distraction. But duty called, forcing me to say goodbye.

Being good has never felt so bad.

Breathtakingly beautiful. Witty. Mysterious.

I never saw Ally Edwards coming. Blindsided by her beauty, she was like no other woman I had ever met. I was attracted to her mind, and absolutely enamored by the blue-eyed brunette.

The law was laid down, the rules made clear. We tried to be good, to keep our distance, but love doesn't work that way. Once I had a taste of her, I would never walk away. Not willingly. I'll fight for her.

I'll fight for us to have the second chance we deserve.

a bit of confusion

I liked the story but found some contradictions that had me going back and listening again. I guessed the twist but was cleverly disguised. narrator's.......Sebastian (swoon)!!!

Sometimes being bad is good

I absolutely LOVED Bad Reputation. This modern day spin on a royal romance was exactly what I needed. The narration of Sebastian York and Ava Erickson takes this wonderful love story to new heights. Beautifully written, this story has it all - Slow burn, high sexual tension, humor, a few bad guys, and the conflict of choosing love over obligations. I recommend this book to anyone looking for a perfectly narrated and written contemporary romance.

Another great book !

The only thing wrong with this book is that it could’ve kept going ! I wanted to hear more ! Narrators did a fantastic job! When the author has chosen fabulous narrators it makes the book so much more enjoyable to a great story.

Swooning guaranteed

Ok, I’m hooked on Sebastian York. Because even though this book wasn’t that good at times, I enjoyed it thoroughly anyway, because of him. And Ava Erickson, who’s amazing too. My main problem with this book is that the characters love each other right from the start, and I love to read--or in this case, listen--about the growing feelings. And the whole book is a series of “I love you, but” because the story needs a conflict. I actually found this particular conflict quite clever! This time around, the girl is the royal--although the guy is a billionaire, he’s well off too. Ally is going to be a queen, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t want to break some rules. She has the bad reputation of the title. Not Hutton. Hutton is actually a prince charming--though not literally, or there wouldn’t be any conflict. He’s the perfect book boyfriend: considerate, passionate, ready to sacrifice everything just to be with the woman he loves. Swooning guaranteed. I can’t give it all the stars, but it was good nonetheless.

4.5 Poison Apples

For one night, Hutton Everest and Ally Edwards were nothing more than a man and a woman who were sexually attracted to one another and gave into that desire; they didn’t worry about their future…they didn’t worry about their responsibilities…they didn’t worry about their reputations - all they cared about was getting lost in the sexual haze that sparked between them as soon as their paths crossed. But Ally’s life’s path has already been written due to her birthright, which means that the wild and reckless behavior she gave into with Hutton can’t last forever; in fact, it’s simply a series of fleeting moments in her life because as soon as she returns home, she must commit herself to leading by example, to shedding any bad behavior tendencies in order to fulfill her royal responsibilities, living for the good of the crown and the good of her people. Too bad this American bad boy has never been good at following the rules and the only person whose opinion matters to him is Ally herself, which means that if there’s a chance that they can continue exploring what’s between them, despite the obstacles, despite the protocols, despite what’s ‘proper’ in the eyes of her people, he’s all in and ready to be Ally’s American Prince Charming - one who’s not afraid to fight dirty to reclaim his queen. Bad Reputation is an angsty, steamy, and twisty modern-day royal fairy tale - one that will make readers question how anything can work between Ally and Hutton due to the amount of obstacles that these two must contend with because one of them is a royal and the other is only a commoner. Ally’s royal lineage and her soon-to-be position as Queen are both things that Hutton will have to work around and if these two hope to figure out a way to be together, Hutton’s going to need to use every move in his arsenal and every bit of his stubbornness as well as his deep feelings for Ally in order to fight against a nation’s history and its customs, which is easier said than done. I would so live the life of a bad girl in order to have Hutton Everest because his confidence, his personality, and his drive to have everything he’s ever wanted make him one handsome alpha male, but what makes him even better is the fact that he is more than willing to bend the knee for his queen, which, in my opinion, makes him an ideal partner and confidant. And regardless of the ways in which Ally’s parents look to thwart any connection between Ally and Hutton, the heart wants what the heart wants and it has nothing to do with status, with pedigree, or with what’s proper; it deals with two hearts and two bodies that call to one another in deep and meaningful ways, proving that rules just might have to be broken. Sebastian York and Ava Erickson narrate this angst-riddled story in a way that conveys just how twisted this modern day fairytale will be. 4.5 Poison Apples

Such A Great Listen

This is the story of Hutton and Ally Told in duel points of view and a male and female narrator doing each part.. These two meet at a Halowwen party. At this party Ally catches ladies man Huttons eye. Hutton doesnt do women...Well he does but nothing serious. However he loves spending time will all and is shocked after a few months when she has to go back home. It is not long until Hutton discovers why and things start to click I to place for him. Knowing what he now knows though he should really stay away from all but he can't and he won't. These two have so many things to fsce. Will they be able to ever work it out. I loved these characters and listening to their story felt like being at the movies and it all playing out in your mind. You get to watch Ally grow so much in this book. I really loved her loyalty to her family but how she loved and who she was with Hudson was my fsvorite part about her. Hutton is equally as great a character. You fall in love with him right away. His passion for ally will melt hour heart. This book is absolutley amazing and i loved every second of listening to it.

Sexy!

Well, this was hot. I listened to the audiobook of this before reading the book, so I gotta say, this story with that narration? Hot, hot. We have Hutton and Ally, and an attraction so strong, no wonder these two came together. They really are opposites, but they do find their common grounds and is spectacular. I love royal stories, and more when SHE’S the one who’s a royal. So much power and responsibility, it takes a strong man to be with them. And Hutton is that man for sure. These two have to go through many ups and downs in order to find their HEA, but it’s such an entertaining read, you just keep on reading (or listening, in my case). As for the audiobook, the narrators are spot on. Perfect amount of sexiness and enough seriousness when it was needed to keep me engaged in this story. They were the perfect choice for this. *Thank you to the author for providing an audio for which I’m giving my honest opinion*

Perfect combination!

This story of Hutton and Ally as narrated by Sebastian York and Ava Erickson was perfect! I love the storyline as well as the voices and how this was delivered. Author S.L. Scott gives the story of royalty meets true love. The characters are fun and extremely enjoyable. I read this 2 person POV book a few months ago and liked this storyline a lot and decided to give the audible a try...and I am SO glad I did! I would absolutely recommend this to anyone wanting to get in to listening!
