the Narrators where great. I had read a review that it had a lot of random breaths and pauses but I didn't find that at all. The narrators did a great job. the story I found yo be really capturing of my attention. and will be looking for anther one similar now I have finished . thankyou to all involved in the story and the narrating team . keep up te great work. 👍

As usual I enjoyed lj shens book. The audio was good I just didn’t really enjoy the fmcs lack of self worth.

I did however really enjoy the sons character.

Mmc was ok too I just never really understand the I’ve loved u since childhood troupe.

Still a solid 3 star read/listen.

And I am not talking about the teenage pregnancy. She never stands up for herself. Instead, she deliberately looks like a hooker (her words) - clothes, wears cake face makeup and and obnoxiously large hair. Then she is rude to everyone. Well, I wonder why people don’t like her? Everyone is cruel (I mean, really? Not a single person is nice or willing to be her friend, in a whole town?) and yet, she does not leave. I understand that would take money, but if she can pay for her son to take lessons and have nice clothes, she could instead save and move to the next town and make a better life for them.
To sum up, I had no respect for her, so whilst the book was written well and the narration was excellent, I was glad to be finished by the end,

I love lj shen and have all her books on audio, but this one was just cringy.

The female narrator took weird breathing breaks, made random pauses, and everytime she ended a sentence, her voice dropped in a weird tone. It was very distracting and irritating. I couldn't make it past chapter 5.

I don't always have my hands free to read so audio is a wonderful way for me to still enjoy books, but this narrator turned me off so badly I deleted it and will be making time to read it. If I didn't like LJ Shen, I would've just deleted this title and moved on.
