Publisher's Summary

Discover how to raise a happy, responsible child by applying the most updated neuro-scientific findings.

In this audiobook, Laurie Alber offers a new and different approach aimed at sharpening healthy brain development, leading to a calmer, smarter, happier child. The book introduces you to the new science of how a child’s brain develops since the pregnancy and how it matures during the first years of life.

It takes in consideration both the most up-to-date psychological and neuro-scientific knowledge and what parents usually put in practice, nowadays, to raise a kid. With age-appropriate strategies for dealing with day-to-day struggles, Baby Brain is also a great tool for parents, teachers, and children themselves to go through their feelings and to understand where they come from.

It engages children in easy, kid-friendly mindfulness activities and helps them develop their capacity to be mindful and quiet and to self-regulate and develop emotional resilience. By applying these new discoveries to day-to-day parenting life, you can turn any argument, complaints, and fear into a way to improve your child’s brain development.

An excellent audiobook with lots of interesting research to back up authors' common sense ideas. I really felt motivated to be a better mom by the end of it. Here's to happy healthy children!

Incredible one!

This audiobook laid out not just how to help make my kids smart but how to play with them in a way that I understand as a logical person that also helps us bond and create those warm fuzzy feelings.

Best audiobook!

This audiobook is best on raising children I've listen so far. I'm not a very lovey and touchy-feely type of father and, as an only child, I have a hard time figuring out how to bond with my kids.

I love this audiobook!

I have a wonderful little baby boy and sometimes I feel like he isn't getting the right workouts but this audiobook is so simple and easy! My little guy rolled over on his own after two days of doing these exercises! I love this audiobook!

Helpful!

This audiobook goes through easy activities to do with your child. Research has shown that so much of the brain development happens long before the child ever steps foot in a classroom. That means it is up to parents. This audiobook makes that easy since most of us are not experts in child and brain development.

It's great and easy to listen!

I love the way she ties in primitive reflex to the development of a baby. Parents don't appreciate the importance of movement and pediatricians don't explain this to parents either. It's also great and easy to listen with illustrations on each page.

I am so happy with the audiobook

A wealth of information that you will not get from your doctor. I struggled for years with infertility and am 100% committed to doing everything I can to support my pregnancy. I feel so reassured to have a reliable source of information that clearly outlines some very important aspects of prenatal healthcare.

I am excited to keep listening.

This audiobook is enlightening not only for babies but to explain some adult behavior. Having only gotten part of the way through, I ordered three more copies for friends and relatives in addition to recommending it to several people. I am excited to keep listening.

A perfect listen!

A perfect listen for the parent who wants to learn more about raising babes! Covers all the important stuff. And is also just fascinating. I love listening about the different studies and how they reached those conclusions.

So much great information!

So much great information, it’s hard to take it all in at once! I will be re-listening chapters as these items come up in our baby’s development. I recommend this audiobook to all parents who want to raise successful, happy, and competent adults.

Very useful and great info!

While being very useful and great info, it is also as entertaining to listen as this type of audiobook could be. The stories are funny, the data is easily relayed, and the information is turned into day to day life with your baby.

Incredible!

If you don't want to go deep into understanding, you can jump to the conclusion for a quick application. However, to get the meaning behind those quick application suggestions you will want to listen. My favorite chapter was on relationships because it nailed a lot of what had been happening since having our baby.

I enjoyed this audiobook

I enjoyed this audiobook because it’s based on studies and science, not just someone’s opinion. I also like how the author sometimes presented opposing arguments but spoke about the pros and cons of each and allowed the listener to make an informed decision; not simply telling them what to do.

I highly recommend this audiobook

I highly recommend this audiobook for the first time parents-to-be who are curious about what medical and psychology literature has to offer with regard to pregnancy and early childhood. This book breaks down the evidence but does not attempt to teach you how to parent - it just provides the material for you to digest and implement however you see fit.
