Life can feel like one long trial — constantly trying to prove to others (and to yourself) that you're good enough, that you measure up, that you belong. The verdict feels like it's always still out. But what if the courtroom isn't actually the problem? What if you just need a better Advocate? In this message, Pastor Ben Kuerth opens Hebrews 4:14–5:3 and 7:18–27 to introduce us to the only Advocate who can truly stand in our place. Jesus doesn't simply plead our case before God — He demands justice on our behalf, because He has already paid the full price for our sin. Through His perfect life, sacrificial death, and victorious resurrection, He has given us a completely new identity. The guilt is gone. The shame is silenced. The verdict is settled. And in its place, we are given courage and joy to face every disappointment and discouragement life throws at us. Because our Advocate has already won — we win, too.
