“Psalm 91:1 — Jesus, Calm My Midnight Thoughts and Let Your Shadow Become My Safe Rest” Live from England — DailyPrayer.uk with Reverend Ben Cooper Welcome to this prayer in our global five-nation rotation Ao vivo de Londres, Inglaterra para São Paulo (Brasil) • Porto (Portugal) • Luanda (Angola) • Praia (Cabo Verde) • Mendoza (Argentina) descanso noturno • sombra protetora • paz suave • mente acalmada night rest • protective shadow • gentle peace • calmed mind Psalm 91:1 (NIV): “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” John 14:27 (NIV): “Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you…” Jesus, as midnight settles over the world and the hush of the night reaches every home, I come to You with the thoughts that refuse to quiet themselves. You know the weight that lingers at this hour, the worries that surface when everything else becomes still, and the fears that try to rise when the lights go down. Tonight, let Your shadow become my safe rest, the place where my mind finally slows and my spirit finds peace. Draw me into descanso noturno, into night-rest shaped by Your presence rather than by fear. Wrap me in sombra protetora — the protective shadow of the Almighty — where nothing uninvited can follow me. Let the atmosphere around me shift as Your peace settles deeper than the thoughts I cannot control. Jesus, breathe Your gentleness into my inner world and quiet every storm that tries to surface. Where anxiety whispers its familiar noise, silence it with Your voice. Where overthinking begins to rise, steady me with truth. Where the day has left its impressions, smooth them out with Your kindness. Tonight, I choose to dwell — not drift, not wander — but dwell in Your shelter, trusting that rest is not something I fight for, but something You give. Let paz suave — gentle peace — soften my shoulders, my breathing, and my pulse. Let mente acalmada — a calmed mind — become the testimony of this hour. Jesus, hold the places that ache, soothe the thoughts that tighten, and remind me that I am safe under Your shadow. Through this night, guard my sleep, protect my dreams, and steady my spirit. And when morning comes, let me rise from rest, not from strain — a heart restored, a mind renewed, and a soul anchored in the One who gives peace that the world cannot imitate. Jesus, calm my midnight thoughts. Let Your shadow become my safe rest. Amém. Psalm 91 midnight prayer, descanso notur
