Downtown Minneapolis witnessed one of the largest marches since the launch of Operation “Metro Surge,” as demonstrators expressed anger over the continued presence of immigration officers. Protesters carried signs calling for ICE to leave, as part of a nationwide strike in which activists urged students not to attend school, businesses to close their doors, and workers to stay home. Protesters say they will continue demonstrating against immigration raids despite promises from federal officials to scale back operations, insisting they will not stop until all federal agents leave Minneapolis.
