“Send Coach John a message”

I used to run “2 for 1 Specials” with my students when I would find a great article for them to read and reflect on with their summary + opinions and thoughts. The special was that I counted it also for one of their weekly articles that they had to turn in as well. I’m just reconnecting to a past part of my life that I loved very much… teaching… but we go on with this episode description. I found two uplifting posts and both of them were re-tweeted (reposted) from Mark Hickie (@MPHickie) who is someone that I connect with a lot on social media. First he shared this clip from Mel Robbins (@MelRobbins) where she was interviewing Trent Shelton (@TrentShelton) - the reminder that Mark connected with this clip, is something similar to what I would say too: “To anyone who needs to hear this - If you feel like you’ve lost your way, please know that better days are coming, my friend. Don’t give up.” Such a simple and heart-felt message for anyone and everyone that needs the reminder to just keep going!! The second connection also from Mark was a clip from Inky Johnson (@InkyJohnson) and Mark’s summary: “It’s not what you do … it’s who you are! It’s how you operate… how you treat people! It’s not what gets you there … it’s what keeps you there! Do what’s right … not what’s easy! It’s how you life your life!” I found it very interesting that these two came just about back to back in my feed this morning. Both messages are tied into lifting me up and encouraging me - which I’m finding I need every day! I hope these help you too!! Thanks for listening.
