About this listen

James Bulger, who you probably know as Whitey Bulger, was a notorious and ruthless Boston gangster who inspired (and continues to inspire) countless films, TV shows and books. Whitey was born in Boston in 1929, and was already living that gangster life when he was a teen. After building up one of the most violent criminal networks in the country, he fled the Boston area in 1995 and wasn't captured until 2011.
