The prophet Ezekiel reveals a harsh truth: God's people were in exile because of their own failures, and their spiritual leaders had abandoned their responsibilities as shepherds. Instead of caring for the flock, these leaders fed themselves and ruled with cruelty, scattering the people they were meant to protect. Most remarkably, God doesn't just rescue us from our failures - He completely transforms us by giving us new hearts, replacing our hearts of stone with living, responsive hearts that naturally follow His ways.
