How does a dog

interpret “I’m going to miss you”

through the veil of

new vocabulary and

incomprehensible tense?

Does it sound like

“I love you” or

“I’m sad” or

“You’ve been bad”

or just

“I’m giving you attention now

and that’s enough”?

and is it

really that different

for anyone else?
