About this listen
Chapter 12: From Pit to Bunker, 178 Miles, June
Heading up the north east coast, Tom passes through industrial coastal towns and villages on his way up to Newcastle for a brief detour over the city’s own Millennium Bridge. Once past the city, he enjoys the quiet, scenic coastline of Northumberland and clocks his 750th mile. He also reaches a new milestone with Lyndsey – meeting her parents – and crosses the border into Scotland.
Chapter 13: From Firth and Fife to Tay and Spey, 299 Miles, June - July (22:32)
Now in Scotland, Tom briefly meets up with his Aunt and Uncle before following the Fife Coastal path north. He hits mile 1,000, meets some friendly and inspirational locals, and is joined by his friend Peter, who will accompany him for the next 700 miles.
