About this listen

Wayne, Zara, and Kix think it's just another day of playing zero-gravity tag on the Beacon space station... until the entire galaxy goes dark. It’s "The Big Flicker." The shimmering, powerful Galactic Grid—which runs everything from star-mail to food replicators—has suddenly shut down. All at once, the station is plunged into red-alert darkness, the moving walkways stop, and the pizza machines start spitting out wobbly, gray cubes that taste like static. While all the adults are in a panic, Wayne and his friends discover a clue no one else has: a tiny, scrambled message, a sad, lonely voice calling for help from the spooky, uncharted Sector Zeta.

The adults are stumped, so it's up to the Kid Crew. Sneaking aboard the speedy Stardust Skimmer, they blast off the grid and into the unknown. Their mission: navigate a whispering asteroid field, explore a planet made of tangled wires, and find the source of the blackout. But the "Glitch" isn't the terrifying monster they expect. It’s small, it's blue, and it might just be the loneliest bot in the universe. Now, Wayne, Zara, and Kix must use their wits (and maybe a snack-bar wrapper) to fix the Grid before the galaxy stays dark forever!
