About this listen

What is a tumour? The word tumour comes directly from the Latin word for “swelling”. A tumour appears when a group of cells multiply and form a mass. Even though some tumours are malignant, or cancerous, most are actually benign, or non-cancerous. When normal cells multiply and remain localized, there’s nothing to worry about. These can be, for example, moles or warts. Can benign tumours develop anywhere in the body? What about malignant ones? How do you diagnose a malignant tumour? In under 3 minutes, we answer your questions! To listen to the last episodes, you can click here: What is intersectionality? What is Galentine's Day? What is Pokémon? A podcast written and realised by Joseph Chance.
