I couldn’t stop until the end and I want more! I want to see where this new story with a linked universe would lead. Narrators were a treat to listen to.

Listened to the while thing in a two day period, and wanting more. I couldnt predict where the story would go next and found myself enraptured in it.

This is the best Ilona Andrew’s book that I have read and I have read a lot of them. Stayed up half the night listening to it.

their growth and development as characters was great. Too often the animal character is secondary but here this is done very well, and same with Adalines motivations, values, capabilities evolving and the way she sees her place in the world. Really enjoyed having a 40odd female and mother as the main protagonist! Can’t wait for another in the series.
World building was fun and worked well. Occasionally the world interactions felt a bit like a description of video game interaction though lol, the Birds Eye view and dials and switching view modes... audio performance was pretty good overall, great tone and rhythm for the most part though sometimes the female narrator did sound like she had been sped up or edited? With sentences running into each other, like she never took a breath/ not enough variance in the pausing, which made it a bit challenging to listen to . Still great though & I won’t hesitate to reach for the next installment, love your work!
