  • Ben McDaniel
    Jun 22 2026

On August 18th, 2010, Ben McDaniel went cave diving at Vortex Spring, a popular tourist spot in the Florida Panhandle. He never resurfaced. Over a dozen expert divers spent days searching for Ben, but didn’t find him. Some came to believe he was not in the cave at all.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss Ben McDaniel. Despite extensive searches by some of the world's most accomplished cave divers, neither Ben nor his equipment has ever been recovered. Ben experienced some traumatic events in his life, which have led some people to speculate that he may have wanted to disappear and start his life over. But his family does not believe that. They have spent their time and money trying to recover him from the depths of the cave.

  • TCATTU Classics: The I-70 Murders
    Jun 15 2026

In 1992, six murders occurred just off Interstate 70 in the states of Indiana, Kansas, and Missouri. At first, these appeared to be random on-off murders. They were committed many miles apart, and each law enforcement agency was unaware of the others. Eventually, they were linked through ballistics.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss these baffling murders committed on the long stretch of roadway known as Interstate 70. The killer had a very distinctive MO. He picked smaller shops where most likely only one employee would be working, and most often that employee would be a woman. He used a .22 gun to commit the murders and didn't always take all of the cash in the store. Many people believe that the killer moved on to Texas to commit similar murders there.

  • Barbara Colby
    Jun 8 2026

Barbara Colby was a respected stage actress whose career was finally taking off in Hollywood when she landed a starring role on the sitcom Phyllis. Tragically, just weeks after filming her first episodes, she was murdered in Los Angeles in a case that remains unsolved nearly 50 years later.

Join Mike and Gibby as they discuss the murder of Barbara Colby. Investigators struggled with solving Barbara's murder, in large part, because they could not find a motive. On July 24, 1975, after teaching an acting class in Los Angeles, Barbara was talking with fellow actor James Kiernan in a parking lot when two armed men approached and shot and killed them both. Investigators initially explored possible links to a series of violent crimes that occurred in the Los Angeles area the same night.
