“To say anything is to say nothing at all”

He mentions in his book something along the lines of “to say anything is to say nothing at all” with regards to the level of pain his daughter experienced.

In the same spirit of that line....
October before last, my fiancé at the time and myself listened to one of Jordan’s lectures/podcasts relating to having kids on the drive down the coast to our wedding.
We’d been together for 10 years before we were married and had planned not to have kids.
After listening, we decided “if it happens on the honeymoon it happens, if not, back to our careers”.
We’ll it happened so thanks to this guy my new wife and I now have a 6 month old son who we love more than we knew possible.

This humble carpenter attempting to find the words to express gratitude for the difference made in my life by a stranger I’ll never meet, on the other side of the globe, wouldn’t do it justice.

To say that I am grateful is “almost to say nothing at all”.

For both the inspiration and now the instruction manual, my new family and I thanks you.

Great rules for life. Attention turns off towards the later chapters.

The first half of the book was really impactful and the rules were really practical. But the later chapters/rules I felt they weren’t really anything I could relate to and I was just listening to finish the book. Also, there are a lot of religious stories and comparisons which were awesome for the few chapters. I’m not someone who hates religion but.... a bit too much for me.

So much emotion - loved it

This was a truly informative read and will make you wise beyond your years. This is something I’d definitely make my children read as they reach adolescents.

Simple rules with intelligence and plenty of depth.

Brilliant real world advice for today

Great book and delivered so passionately by Dr. Jordan Peterson himself. The 12 Rules for Life is practical wisdom for today that I would recommend to my sons. It’s firmly based on rock, ancient wisdom and modern knowledge. It is truth you recognise because it resonates deeply in your soul. These is so much in each page and chapter to digest. Well worth a listen to this modern day, “prophet”. He bring together the teachings of the Bible, mysticism and psychology in a brilliant and enlightening way. Thanks JBP!

The light that shines twice as bright...

My words won't suffice in giving the justice that this masterpiece deserves. It's life changing and will be played and read many more times to come. Jordan's narration is beyond perfect. A MUST READ!

The psychological scalpel

This book is both breathtaking and severe. A must for any mortal. A conversation with Peterson quickly mutates into a spectacular, life-affirming, moralising diatribe. His words are so wilful and sincere it is as though you can feel the wind of his breath as you read them. The reason and compassion are impossible to deny, so that one is left only with the capacity to obey and to strive for more.

Sort yourself out. Get your copy of rules for life.

A true gift to the world...

Read personally by Dr Peterson, his vulnerabilty tore at my heart more than once in the knowing this message is a timeless gift and shining light to the world.

it is one that must be read a dozen times and shared with everyone you know and love, and even those you don't, which might very well be yourself.
