Mr Mercedes My Kind of Story
Believe it or not this was my first Stephen King book. I was totally enthralled. Narration was fantastic and the story had me on the edge of my chair and high anticipation for the next chapter. Can thoroughly recommend.

A vice grip of suspense.
Brilliant performance of a truly compelling story. Made me into a total addict. Cannot recommend this enough.

Why did I wait so long?!
Absolutely loved this audio! Will Patton is a genius - not only was I very quickly able to recognise the characters literally by voice he did so without being obvious about it - his narration only adds to the story! The story itself is fantastic, King at his best, sets the scenes and you can feel the suspense and see all the wheels turning... just loved it!

Love it, love Stephen King
Excellent, I'm so glad I found audible,
Stephen King is my favorite writer, this book was amazing, so entertaining I got lost in the story.

Suspenseful King at his best
When you feel nervous butterflies as a book builds to it's final confrontation, and when you find yourself talking - out loud - offering advice to the Detective main character, you know it is an excellent book!
I loved how the narrator subtly changed tone for each chapter depending on which character's pov it was.
One tip: Do not - repeat DO NOT - read the blurb about the other books in the series until you have completely finished this one!!!! I mean it - major spoiler!!

trilogy reversed
I didn't realise Mr Mercedes was the first in the trilogy, listened to the other two first... still most enjoyable just the same!

Odell is unharmed - i was going to return thr book if he was! Liked the characters Holly and Jerome. Could have done without the killer's perspective.
