Story
We’ve all seen the memes that populate the internet: live your truth, follow your heart, you only have one life to live. They sound nice and positive. But what if these slogans are actually lies that unhinge us from reality and leave us anxious and exhausted? Another Gospel? author Alisa Childers invites you to examine modern lies that are disguised as truths in today’s culture. Everyday messages of peace, fulfillment, and empowerment swirl around social media. On the surface, they seem like sentiments of freedom and hope, but in reality, they are deeply deceptive.

Story
Alisa Childers never thought she would question her Christian faith. She was raised in a Christian home, where she had seen her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, and love the outcast. She had witnessed God at work and then had dedicated her own life to leading worship as part of the popular Christian band ZOEgirl. All that was deeply challenged when she met a progressive pastor who called himself a hopeful agnostic. Another Gospel? describes the intellectual journey Alisa took over several years as she wrestled with a series of questions.

Today, our generation is seeing a surge of people walking away from the Christian faith. But what’s repelling people isn’t Jesus; it’s that what is often propagated as mainstream Christianity is simply not worthy of His name. Jesus is the most admired figure in history. He is also the most ignored, weaponized, reinterpreted, and misappropriated figure in history. The question is . . . who do you think He is? In Dangerous Jesus, Kevin “KB” Burgess―award-winning rapper, podcaster, and international speaker―reintroduces us to the true Jesus, the one who poses a living threat to the status quo.

Awake & Alive to Truth tackles the reigning philosophies of our day of post-modernism, relativism, and the popular view of the goodness of man and combats these viewpoints by standing on the absolute truth of the word of God. Awake & Alive to Truth answers some of the most asked questions in modern culture. Go on a journey through some John Cooper's personal stories, the doctrine of original sin, the authority of Scripture, the danger of trusting your emotions, and end with the greatest news possible: God wants to rescue you from the chaos and the darkness and bring you into his glorious light.

Faithful, Biblical, Useful
I love that John narrates this book it makes it so interesting to learn about Christianity when it sounds this good haha but also it’s super faithful teaching, very truth filled, biblically accurate and straight forward and easy to understand. You also learn more about John’s life whilst at the same time loving Jesus more. Would highly recommend to anyone who wants the straight up solid truth of Christianity and the gospel but who also enjoys biographies too. Thanks John for your faithfulness in all that you do! I also love Skillet and your music helps me persevere in my faith and helped me through an unusually low year in 2023 where I struggled with deep dark depression, I found it hard to pray but would say Amen to your lyrics and let them express my emotions to our good and loving God. <3
