Autism mom
The book had great information for parents of multiple kids on the spectrum. It was comforting to hear that someone else has had these experiences and found a way. I had a hard time with the voice but otherwise loved the book.

don't bother
This book is mostly story and fluff with minimal practical strategies being offered. Also most of what's described is very basic and unless you know nothing about autism you're wasting your time period

A good introduction to ASD
My wife and I just found out our daughter has autism. So this book was a very good introduction into what it is, what were some signs, and most importantly, how to best help your child. The author uses a lot of humor in her writing, which made the book very enjoyable. I also like the performance a lot. Well not every strategy will be appropriate for your child, there were many strategies that are. This book is giving me a good start on how to proceed forward.

The narrator's affected cheery delivery is grating
The narrator's delivery sounds just like the "child actor" bit on SNL's weekend update (https://youtu.be/LcW-fEr1vT0) - forcefully overacted and artificially chipper. I'm only partially through the book so far, so I'll come back to update my review on the content, but it'll be like sitting through nails on a chalkboard.
