Eino Leino (1878-1926) - oikealta nimeltään Armas Einar Leopold Lönnbohm - on ollut merkittävimpiä suomalaisia runoilijoita ja kirjailijoita, jonka tuotantoon kuuluu myös mm. romaaneja, suomennoksia. Hänen runoutensa on tullut tutuksi myös monien säveltäjien - kuten Heino Kasken, Toivo Kuulan, Leevi Madetojan ja Oskar Merikannon teoksissa.
