2083: Unter der Leitung der ESA wird die größte Forschungsmission in der Geschichte der Menschheit zusammengestellt, um durch das Wurmloch zu dem fernen Exoplaneten aufzubrechen.
Doch schon bei der Ankunft im fremden System mehren sich die Hinweise, dass auf dem Planeten nichts so ist, wie es die Aufklärungssatelliten zuvor ermittelt haben.
