Worked like magic

we had been struggling to fall asleep. we tried the History of Mathematics. we love to fall asleep to talking, but most audiobooks have unexpected loud and quiet parts, or build suspense, or cover topics that are energizing. this book however is perfect for falling asleep, like the afternoon college lecture that put you to sleep. it was just interesting enough to keep our minds from wandering and waking up, but not so interesting to keep us awake.

long story short, we fell asleep smoothly and easily thanks to the calm, level content and presentation.

weird repetitive horn in background

The meditation The session is anything but relaxing. Who is a loud sound almost like a boat horn that is for Lack of a better word beeping the whole time. O the reader is plowing through the meditation session as though she's in a hurry to get somewhere. You don't even get a chance to take a breath before she's moved on to something else.

Soothing, beautiful, relaxing

It's really surprising how someone describing the many ways to cook Asparagus can be so soothing and relaxing, lol..but it really is. The narrator's voices are so well modulated that even though you hear what they are saying, you're also given permission to drift off without feeling you're missing out on an important part of your newest book. The voices transition seamlessly into breathing and meditation exercises that do not interrupt your sleep pattern enough to wake you completely up. I really enjoy listening to this at night as I fall asleep. I also think there's a good chance that I can cook French cuisine now...🤔🤔

Not my cup of (Sleepytime) tea

I found the narrator's voices slmewhat jarring or irksome...Content leaves something to be desired. But then, to each his own...

Love the series!

Keep adding more voices and choices please! Especially Grace Gummer, who read My Dark Vanessa, to which i just finished listening. Great book and fabulous reader. More from her, PLEASE!
Have her read a great classic, if you can. That is a series I would pay for and discontinue my current paid meditation app. Great voices have always been in demand. Some of my favorites are Vincent Price and Christopher Walken reading The Raven and Jeff Buckeley reading Ulalume, all are on Youtube.

Perfect Topic for Sleep

The voice and subject matter was perfect to lull me to sleep. It had a little bit of everything in history I enjoy. I will need to listen again when not trying to sleep as I want to hear the whole story.

Knocked my a** out.

This was a good guided sleep meditation. Soundtrack was very soothing and ethereal. My only complaint is that the narration could have been slower and softer, but I'd still give the narrator a 4/5. Nowhere near obnoxious unlike some of the other guided sleep meditation narrators on here.
