You could only hope that this is purely based on fiction. Devastating to think that there might be people out there like the ones depicted in this book. Well written though and kept you wanting to continue reading as it is not as gratuitous as I feared at first. The narrator nearly had me stopping right from the introduction however interestingly enough he ended up suiting the style of the book. Not for everyone.

Sad and tough read

Good book, but Not romance focused so not for everyone. I would have liked more character development for Mr B. But really good world descriptions and author was not afraid to delve deep into the ‘trigger’ aspects, which i liked as becoming so desensitised with the news and horrors of the world (as a true crime listener) made this story feel more realistic and made you experience the ‘feels’ for the victims in a way other books fall short of. However…
I HATE THIS NARRATOR’S ACCENT! Doesn’t match the story and especially not the characters. Very distracting.
