Publisher's Summary
The final novel in The Seven Sisters series is here. Narrated by Richard Armitage and Tuppence Middleton.
Spanning a lifetime of love and loss, crossing borders and oceans, Atlas: The Story of Pa Salt, co-authored by her son Harry Whittaker, draws Lucinda Riley's saga to its stunning, unforgettable conclusion.
1928, Paris. A boy is found, moments from death, and taken in by a kindly family. Gentle, precocious, talented, he flourishes in his new home, and the family show him a life he hadn’t dreamed possible. But he refuses to speak a word about who he really is.
As he grows into a young man, falling in love and taking classes at the prestigious Conservatoire de Paris, he can almost forget the terrors of his past, or the promise he has vowed to keep. But across Europe an evil is rising, and no-one’s safety is certain. In his heart, he knows the time will come when he must flee once more.
2008, the Aegean. The seven sisters are gathered together for the first time, on board the Titan, to say a final goodbye to the enigmatic father they loved so dearly.
To the surprise of everyone, it is the missing sister who Pa Salt has chosen to entrust with the clue to their pasts. But for every truth revealed, another question emerges. The sisters must confront the idea that their adored father was someone they barely knew. And even more shockingly: that these long-buried secrets may still have consequences for them today.
In this epic conclusion to the Seven Sisters series, everything will be revealed.
Tuppence Middleton returns to complete the sisters' story alongside Richard Armitage as Pa Salt.

The tapestry that weaves everything together
Wow! I am in awe of this book. Finally all the loose threads are tied up by this wonderful author (and her son). The story of Pa Salt was absolutely riveting and I could not stop listening to this amazing story. My only criticism is that there are no more books. I have loved all eight books in The Seven Sisters Series and I will find it hard to find another series that will beat this one!

Wonderful final book to the series
i really enjoyed this final book that filled in the missing pieces of the '7 Sisters' saga .
Wonderfully written, full of drama and emotion. I only read 3 of the 7 sisters series , and didnt feel like I had missed anything of importance. The narrator of Pa Salt was perfect. Well worth listening to, but only after you've delved into the books about the sisters/ his daughter's.

A few hours in
I’ll update this when I finish, but so far the story is brilliant and promises great things. My only gripe, and boy does it set my teeth on edge, is that the female narrator pronounces the girls’ surname complete differently to how it’s been pronounced in all the preceding books! If you’re going to narrate the culmination of a series as epic as this one, maybe listen back to how things are pronounced before?
To compound this, Richard Armitage pronounces the surname correctly! So the same name is said in 2 different ways.
I know this is tiny in the scheme of things, it’s just glaring. Like someone narrating Lord of the Rings and calling the character Bilbo Bargains! Rant over…

Absolutely gripping
Having read all the 7 sisters books I couldn’t wait for the release of the final part of the story. Nothing about this book disappointed!
For 3 days I have spent every spare moment engrossed in the twists and turns of the plot as the past unravelled. I have shed tears and read long into the night.
So cleverly were the events in the previous books woven into this final story that I now want to go and read the others again to search for the clues.
Harry - what a wonderful tribute to your mother to put this story together so brilliantly - I’m sure she would be immensely proud.

A bit predictable in parts
I’ve read and enjoyed all the books and was eagerly awaiting this final one. Well done to Harry completing this very challenging task on behalf of his mother.
Having said that….. and trying to avoid ‘spoilers’…..
It was no surprise to learn about Pa Salt’s ‘demise’ - I had been expecting something on these lines since reading the first book.
I found the assumptions about Elle’s disappearance lacking in credibility. Given Pa’s intelligence and his lifelong knowledge of his enemies then surely he would have included what happened as an option. Surely he wouldn’t have been that gullible.
I enjoy Lucinda’s books and will continue reading others she has written.

Sadly a lot of glaring errors
I love that this book was eventually released and that Lucinda's son tried to do justice to the wonderful literary history however there are a LOT of errors, especially around chapter 9/10: Rory speaks (he's deaf, it was mentioned earlier about him signing, and in the previous book they handle his speech difficulties very carefully), Electra notably had her hair cut to a 1" fade, and CeCe had grown her hair, and Chrissy did not lose her leg in an accident but because of illness that was not addressed quickly enough. the inconsistency of pronunciation of 'George' is irritating as are the few evident typos (wrong words used) which you'd have thought that consummate narrators such as these should have picked up as being out of context.
in C54 they repeatedly reference CeCe drinking alcohol, but in the Pearl sister they repeatedly note her intolerance and therefore limited intake of alcohol predominately due to her aboriginal heritage.argh!
There is however a wonderful. story weaving all the other books together, so I'm trying to give Harry and the editors the benefit of doubt and enjoy the book despite the flaws.
Hurrah for a fabulous literary journey. The second listen was much better, but I agree with another reviewer that Pa Salt has turned out to be much weaker of character in some ways than his story suggested.
Huge shame that Lucinda is no longer with us, as all her books have been amazing.

Needs serious editing
Such a long book. Tuppence wonderful to listen to with wonderful accents/voices for different characters. Goodness though it needs some serious editing.

Long and depressing.
Good idea for a story, but went on much too long. Had a lot of mushiness and sadness going on. At times got so boring. Feel it was stretched out far too long.
It was also, so frustrating in parts. However, I had to see it through to the end, and again feel it just had too many negatives. Quite depressing.

Fantastic
I was unsure how this final book would play out . I had no reason to worry .
What a Fantastic finale to an epic series.
I would suggest the reader re aquatints themselves with the previous books first . Having waited over a year for this final book I found myself backtracking to remind myself of caricature’s back stories .
Enjoy !
